I’ve been wanting to do this design on a three tier cake where the top and bottom tier has this design and the middle tier is a smaller, perhaps 2″ high cake, in the turquoise color. OH, that would be soo cool!! But, alas…I’m homeschooling! So, it’s just a one tier! – but still very stunning none the less!!
If you’d like info on how to create this sweet little cake using my wax paper transfer technique, see this post HERE for more information!!
Blessings!
Love it!!

You’re homeschooling too? I’m homeschooling my kiddos this year as well. It has definitely taken a bite out of my cake time, but so worth it. I love your little striped cake, it’s beautiful. God bless your school year!
Yes! Homeschooling my 2nd grader, chasing around my 2 year old and helping in my son’s kindergarten class. These few tutorials I’ve recently posted are my last cake “hurrah” for a while!!
Blessings to your school year too! God is good!
Beautiful as always. You are so awesome! Thank you for taking the time not only to teach your little ones, but to teach US little bakers as well. God bless!
Clever!
Jessica, I can’t thank your enough for all that you’ve shared. I’m not kidding when I say my cakes are 100% better after following your methods. Bless you!!
Jessica, your cakes are simply amazing and your techniques seem foolproof. Thank you for sharing and making perfection look so easy!
This technique is awesome. Thank you for the detailed pictures. I had my share of wonky stripes or border, but no more!
You blow me away girlfriend!!! So amazed at how incredibly talented you are… and how you “provoke” others to love (from today’s sermon!) through your art. So blessed by you!!

I’m really impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Anyway keep up the excellent quality writing, it’s rare to see a great blog like this one today.

Why thank you! This is just a standard blogger page. No upgrades or bells and whistles. I’ve been toying with upgrading to a wordpress site…just too busy with life right now!
Blessings!
Will this technique work to transfer fondant onto a cake that isn’t covered in fondant? I need to make a large stripe of fondant for a cake that is frosted in buttercream. Just curious if it will work the same.
Yes! It would be perfect! You might need to wait to peel off the wax paper until after you put it in the fridge for a bit?! – or take it right from the fridge and put the wax paper/fondant stripes on so the fondant sticks to the buttercream – you’ll have to play with it.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your absolute amazingness! You are a natural teacher that blesses the world with your knowledge! I think everyone is practically signing a petition for a Jessicakes on Facebook!
WOW! Thank you! Seriously is there that many people that want me on facebook!??? That’s so flattering! I’m so glad I can help!! God bless!
Yes, there is. Way Beyond Cakes by Mayen (popular YouTube cake decorator) featured your sharp edges video with great responses. She actually found a substitute for acrylic sheets.
I was actually looking for you on facebook right now =)
I am so going to try to make this stripy cake! I love it!
Thank you very much for your help =)
