Hi friends! Today is the day!! Learn over 20 Elegant Cake Textures Now!!
My fifth Craftsy class has launched…FIVE!! Craziness! If you would have told me almost three years ago when first started working with Craftsy that I’d have five classes today, I would have laughed in your face!! Haha!!! But..alas…it’s here and it’s called, “The Clean & Simple Collection: Elegant Techniques“.
Before I share with you all that you’ll learn, there’s something I need to say first.
Thank you! I’m feeling super blessed to be apart of all your cake adventures!! I’m so thankful for all the emails, posts, pictures, comments, questions and encouragement you have sent my way over these past few years. To my students in beautiful Australia, the classy UK, splendid Africa, gorgeous Brazil, amazing Spain, the huge Middle East and all over the world…I truly truly truly have created these classes with you in mind! – to help you…to show you shortcuts and techniques I wish someone had figured out earlier and shown to me! I’ve put together this collection of classes to give you a huge tool kit of beautiful textures that you can feel confident to use on cakes for your friends and family because they are simple, yet stunning designs! It’s been a wild journey and I’m extremely thankful for it! – thank you for all your support in these classes…thank you for buying them! Haha!! I’m so touched and honored to be apart of your lives…it’s been incredible!! xo!!
OKAY! – so what’s in this next class you might be thinking!??!
How can it possibly be different from the other four!?! OH, you wait…check this out!!! This is my FAVORITE class to date!!!
This is the second class to the “Clean & Simple Collection” called “Elegant Techniques“. The first class, “Playful Techniques” (released a month or two ago) was all about “play on” textures…making things look like real materials or things found in nature like brick, bark, white washed wood, peacock feathers and more. This new class, “Elegant Techniques” is set up the exact same way (still working on panels with TONS of quick and simple techniques) but everything is so incredibly elegant and beautiful and more abstract. These are all textures and techniques you can use on your beauty cake projects! – and these techniques and textures can be combined with the textures from “Playful Techniques” to give you a huge 75+ combined textures/techniques to mix and match!
Let me show you what you’ll learn in the seven lessons! – but first, a few more cakes!!! My precious!!
Oh so romantic!!!! LOVE!
This gradient fondant technique on the top pink tier (below) is in Playful Techniques!! – it’ NOT airbrushed!! Again, I wanted to show how you can mix and match the techniques from both classes to create endless options!!!
LOVED the texture on this sweet looped bow cake!!!
And one more…or two!
And last but not least…my token Chevron cake…got to have one in every class!! – especially with a fun variation!!! Metallics and edible pens!
These 8 cakes are for inspiration and only a HINT of what you’re going to learn in this class…check out these boards I made to show you what is in each lesson! Here’s what you’re going to learn how to do!!!
Plus the wafer paper texture you see here on my Paris cake:
Crazy FULL class!! I hope you all love it as much as I do!!
A few important notes…you don’t actually learn how to make these exact cakes from start to finish in the class that you saw above. These are my beauty cakes taking the techniques you’ll learn in the class and applying them to real cakes for your inspiration. You will learn how to create all the textures you see on the cakes as seen in panels/boards above. If I walked you through how to execute all eight of these cakes from start to finish like other Craftsy classes, I would have only been able to give you three cakes and maybe 8-10 textures in the time we have for filming. That’s why this class is so different…and a HUGE value! You’re getting over 20 textures/techniques and eight inspiration cakes!! You will see me execute and teach ALL the textures!! – exactly what’s on the panels in the photos above. You will learn everything you need to be able to pull them off and each technique is surprisingly simple so you won’t need me to do it on an entire cake…that would be boring…I promise!! Plus, you’ve got me for questions. I’m on the platform, so if you have questions during the class, I’m there to help you! So, no worries!!
Also, the wafer paper flowers and metallic painted top tiers on these inspiration cakes are all from my second class, “Simply Modern Cake Design“. There were SO many texture we didn’t have time to make flowers or paint top tiers. This class was all about textures…not flowers and metallics. I went over how to create several wafer paper flowers and how to apply metallics thoroughly in the Simply Modern class. Because SO many of you have taken that class, we didn’t want to bore you and be repetitive! We talked about this a lot, believe me!! If you haven’t taken that class, you should…it’s a very important class where I show how to build extended tiers, how to use all kinds of metallic finishes, how to work with silver leaf and wafer paper. Those techniques are what you can use to “dress” and embellish your cakes the way I’ve done here with these cakes. Here’s a link for 50% off that class. I’m super sorry if you hoped to have all that included in this class, but there just wasn’t time. I could have put those things into this class, but then we would have taken out about 8 textures…and I figured you’d rather see/learn new textures then repeated techniques from previous classes. I know some of you will be annoyed by that, and truly I’m sorry, but it was a decision based on trying to give you the biggest bang for your buck. I don’t prefer spending money unless I know I’m getting a LOT for it!! – and I don’t like to see the same thing twice, so, I figured you were like me! LOL!!!
Phew! – saying all that was like the fast talking guy at the end of a car commercial giving you all the exemptions!! LOL!! Blah! Sorry…but I’m all about being up front and honest! And, all that to say, you’re going to love the class!! I’m so excited! EEEK!!!
NOW onto the DISCOUNT!!!

better than the other brands, especially with buttercream icing and It is best site for cake shops in nagpur
Hi,
I was trying to buy this class from Craftsy but all the links for this particular class is not working. Can you please help?
Thanks
I’m so sorry! The update Craftsy did reset some of my links. They are fixed now. You can buy it for 50% off by clicking HERE. Thank you!
Hi Jessica –
I have tried the above link to get your class, but it seems to be broken. I’m not sure if its because Craftsy has revamped their sight or if its because I am in Canada?? Would love to get your class. Please advise.
Thank you,
Lisa Benson
It’s not Canada! – you’rse so cute Lisa. It’s probably too late, but I just revised the links. For some reason when Craftsy updated their site, the links for this class didn’t transfer. So…I had to go and revise them all. You can click HERE to get 50% off! Blessings!
HI Jessica. I love your classes I learn so much in them and they make me want to get better and better! I’m excited to take the 5th class all those textures look amazing! The code you have posted for 50% off isn’t working. Is the offer over? thanks for all you help!!
I’m so sorry Samantha! – when Craftsy updated ctheir site, something broke with a few links from some of my classes. I’m going back into my blog to fix it but it’s taking a while. You can click HERE to get that 50% off discount!
I have been trying to get 50% discount for your new class but when I click on it, it states that the coupon has expired. Is there a new link for 50% discount for new class?
I know, and I’m SUPER sorry!! Craftsy updated their website and none of my links worked anymore. They are starting to do coupons, not “forever links” like I had all over my site. Right now they are building me a landing page on their website where you can get all my classes due to the promises I’ve made to my students to give them 50% off my classes. Hopefully it’ll be up in the next few weeks. When it goes live, I’ll send a post out so everyone knows. I so appreciate your patience. But for now, if you click on the class links on my side bar, it’ll take you to Craftsy and give you the lowest price they are offering today. I hope that helps in the mean time. Blessings!
You have a fan from Zimbabwe….your designs make soo emotional…I wanna do that….In a few years time…I am still very new to this very very new…
Sweet one…continue to practice and show yourself grace. You’ll grow just like a beautiful flower. Many blessings!
