Hi friends!
I have another treat for you!! A wafer paper flower tutorial + basketweave cake!
If you’ve taken my new online class, “The Clean & Simple Collection: Playful Techniques” you’ve seen the “Woven” lesson which showcases how to make this beautiful basketweave cake. But we couldn’t fit the colorful wafer paper flowers into the class! I was so sad, but there were over 30 techniques, and so much content so we had to cut a few things due to time.
BUT, it all worked out!! – because now I get to do a wafer paper flower tutorial for ALL to see and enjoy! So yay for time limits!! LOL!!!
Here’s the sweet cake! In the class there’s also a lesson called “Feathers & Wings” and I also show how to make this gelatin butterfly! Sweet little thing!
Here’s a close up of the basketweave. I show how to make it a wood grain look too for a more rustic finish.
Okay! Enough basketweave…let’s move onto the FLOWERS!! These flowers are very similar to the ones in my second class, “Simply Modern Cake Design” but these are smaller and have different centers. So, I wanted to make sure I show you the difference so you aren’t confused or frustrated and would be able to make them easily!
Without further ado…the video tutorial!! One thing I forgot to talk about are the leaves!! I used THIS paper punch (this is an affiliate link) for the leaves and cut them out of pre-printed green wafer paper I ran through my printer!
